FINGAL HEAD

Fingal Head is located in New South Wales, just south of Gold Coast, Queensland. From a photographer's perspective, the Giant's Causeway is Fingal Head's claim to fame; a striking rock formation of hexagonal columnar basalt formed from the rapid cooling of ancient lava as it flowed into the ocean. 

Letitia Spit is located a few minutes north by car from Fingal Head. It is part of the sand bypass system, built to maintain the beaches in this area, and performs a similar function to The Spit at Main Beach, Gold Coast. The area is beautiful and fairly secluded, primarily visited by local surfers and fishermen.
