TOOMULLA BEACH GRANITES

Only during a king tide will the waves lap at the red granite rocks dotting the shores Toomulla Beach, an hour north of Townsville, and as such it took me a few years for weather and tidal conditions to align to capture this particular shot. 

The golden light of dawn complements the red of the granites. I chose a longer exposure to capture the swirling patterns formed by the movement of water around these rocks.
